A New Year
Ladies and gentlemen, we have come upon a New Year! Since the New Year I have learned much about life. Never take your life for granted. In the past 24hrs two young men I knew, one 16 & one 28, have died. Life is short. You have to stop and look at what kind of life you live because whatever energy you give off to the universe, positive or negative, it come back to you. The life I want to live is the one God intended for me.
I have learned, the more material things you accumulate makes you the envy of all, according to the human society. But if you want your soul to be with God when you die, you need to form a strong relationship with God. So what, you missed a sunday or two at church. Church is a place for you to worship God and fellowship with others while you worship God. The church building is just a building. You can have church anywhere. Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three gathered in my name, there I am with them."
On another note, who are we to say which religion is right or wrong? I think the many different religions are just a division and diversion to get the human race to think one religion is better than the other, instead of coming together. With all the tragedies happening around the world in the last decade, God is trying to tell us how we need each other more than we think. We need to stop harming one another over stupid things. We need to look at what we are doing, change ourselves, and then help others.
This New Year, I don't have any resolutions. I just pray to God I become a Proverbs 31 woman and I treat people how I want to be treated. No more looking in the past. Life is too short. I just need to focus on the present and have faith and hope for my future.
What are you planning to do for the New Year? Pleas tell me. I would love to know.

I agree, let the past be just that: the past. In the grand scheme of things life really is too short and tomorrow is NOT promised. Therefore there's no point stressing over stuff that's already said and done. I say believe in something and be grateful for this moment while you have it! Learn from yesterday, have faith today and work to make tomorrow even better. So while I haven't made any true resolutions for 2012, I want to focus more on the future and the things that I can influence; each day just being a little better than I was the day before.
